Tree.class pt. 1

I made an app that creates and displays the inviting edge of a thick forest.

New Algorithms

I tried to use a new algorithm for mountain building (prior to this I was using my own invented one) called Midpoint Displacement. Basically what happens is it finds the midpoint of each line segment and creates a new point with a randomized vertical transformation. After several passes of this it creates something like these (the way that I implemented this is quite different from my previous program so I still haven't worked out a good method of display yet so it looks kind of cool/weird):

Hey Kid, I'm A Computer

I smashed some rocks together and muddled around with a PNG library for Java and came up with a program that generates pictures of beautiful sunset landscapes. This took several hours. To follow it up I spent several more hours trying to come up with a song to go a long with them. It turned out to be 20 seconds long.

Cool Poses OR My Life Is Like A Fart

I took a couple sheets of Sara doing cool poses and dropped them off at the lab yesterday and the guy told me that they would be done on either Friday or Monday. So imagine my surprise when I got a call from them at 1 in the morning last night (according to the voicemail timestamp) that they were ready to be picked up. I went down there after school to pick them up and they were indeed developed (though, apparently, filed in the wrong place) so I paid and left. When I got on the bus I took them out and discovered two things:

The first thing that I noticed is that they were both extremely poorly exposed and had light leaks. One was double exposed. These are all things that were probably mine/my cameras fault.

The second thing that I noticed is that they were developed as E6 which is odd since Ektar is a negative film and nowhere on the envelope did it say to crossprocess it. All of this is very odd.

Anyway here is one of the photos, it could have been so goood

Trout

I had a roll of film in my camera and I didn't realize it. I opened it and the film was partially exposed. These photos might be very old, I'm not sure who some of these people are. I used the rest of the film to take pictures of Sara!

That's Toni for sure, I'm not sure who that is to his left
I think that this is Steven??? Is this at the lake???
????

Sara often looks like this

Sara took this pic. You can tell because it's of me and not her.
